Here is a list of some of the new shows on display in Toronto this week.
Douglas Coupland has a show of new works at the Daniel Faria Gallery called “Welcome to the Twenty-First Century.” It’s on from January 26- April 7.
Diaz Contemporary is showing prints and videos by Dara Gellman from January 12-February 11.
Gallery 1313 is hosting the Eco Art Exhibit from January 25-February 5.
General Hardware Contemporary is showing the “Flatmen” paintings by Alexander Irving from January 28-March 3.
Mira Godard is hosting a show of works by established painter Takao Tanabe. It runs from January 28-February 18.
Andrea Cooper is showing a video piece called “Anna” at the Red Head Gallery from February 1-28.
Susan Hobbs is exhibiting works by photographer Althea Thauberger. That show runs from January 26-March 3.
In Parkdale, gallerywest is showing sculptures and prints by Takashi Hara and Taimaz Moslemian that look at the relationship between nature and metaphors. On from February 1-28.
WARC has an installation by Heather Van Winckle. It will be up from January 28-February 25.
“Black Sun” a new series of paintings by Harold Klunder is on at Clint Roenisch from January 26- February 29.
