Clint Roenisch is hosting a show of new sculptures and works on paper by Jason de Haan from March 15-April 21.

“What Just Happened” a group show from the OCADU sculpture and installation students will be showing at Gallery 1313 from March 21-April 1 and Katharine Mulherin from March 15-25.

On Thursday, March 8, 1 Spadina Crescent will be hosting “The Happening,” an evening of engaging contemporary installations, performances and experiences.

It will feature new work by Aleesa Cohene, Jessica Hein, Manolo Lugo, Julius Poncelet Manapul, Claire Hildebrand, Laurie LaBelle, Zarina Mail, Julia Abraham, Emily Fitzpatrick, Michael Polubiec, Patricia Ritacca, Michael Vickers, Shannon Linde and Noel Troxell.

The Le Gallery is showing some new paintings by Matt Bahen of barren landscapes, destroyed interiors and roving dogs. The show runs from March 2-31.

Loop Gallery is hosting the works of Yael Brotman and Tara Cooper. From March 3-25.

Olga Korper is currently showing the sculptures of Marianne Lovink until March 28.

Review: The Artist Project 2012.

The Artist Project is celebrating their fifth year. Containing 400 individual artists, their works are set in booths and then gridded out over the large terrain of the Queen Elizabeth Building at Exhibition Place. The vast majority of those on display were Toronto based but there were some from Montreal, Ottawa, a few foreign cities and quite a few of the many smaller cities that dot Ontario. I’d never attended this art fair before so I was struck mostly by how it was different from others.

The Angell Gallery is showing works by three eclectic artists. Daniel Hutchinson, Josh Schwebel and Renée Duval are all on display from February 23-March 24.

Centre Space is showing Adad Hannah‘s new works exploring his fascination with Rodin. From February 24-March 31.

The Department is hosting a group show, “Leap Year: Woman King Collective,” from February 27-March 10.

ARTiculations Painting is holding a show called “Everything Is Fine Here,” featuring the works of Jocelyn Williams and Takashi Hilferink, The show runs from February 17-March 30 at the Earl Selkirk Gallery.

The Butcher Gallery will be hosting The Bulletproof Weave: The Retrospective, from February 17-March 4.

Diaz Contemporary is showing the drawings, sculptures and videos of Paulette Phillips, which examine the nature of lying and its representation. Also on display are new Letraset pieces by Kelly Mark. Both shows run from February 16-March 17.

Katie Pretti has a show of her new gestural abstract works on display while Bobby Mathieson paints 60s rock concerts at Neubacher Shor Contemporary. Until March 3.

“Unfamiliar Territories,” a group show featuring Sally Ayre, Jim Hake, Osheen Harruthoonyan and Joan Kaufman dealing with ambiguous narratives, is on at the Lonsdale Gallery until March 25.

Painter Maria Gabankova and video/print artist Libby Hague are showing at the Loop Gallery. From February 4 – February 26.

Quebec artists David Gillanders, Mathieu Lévesque and Max Wyse are showing sculptures and paintings at P|M Gallery from February 4 – March 17.

Barbara Edwards Contemporary is presenting work from the estate of abstract expressionist painter, Jack Tworkov, best known as a founding member of the New York School. The show runs from February 10-April 7.
