Katika Marczell’s The Corporeal Abstract at EEL Gallery.

Katika Marczell‘s first solo exhibition the corporeal abstract incorporates the use of scans, video, and ink on paper, in an attempt to capture the immaterial. Through giving the incorporeal a solid form, Marczell tries to catch the faint whispers of phenomena that vanish just as quickly as they manifest. A minimalist exploration of the materiality of light, the deception of the reflected image, and the weight of being, the corporeal abstract encourages the viewer to contemplate the beauty in the realization of the intangible.
